When your credit reaches £2, up to £10 of Emergency Credit becomes available per meter. You can activate it on your meter to keep your supply going. You can find a guide to activating emergency credit here.
Emergency Credit is designed as a temporary safety net if you're unable to top up immediately.
Any Emergency Credit used will be recovered automatically from your next top-up before any remaining credit is added to your balance.
If you run out of credit and Emergency Credit, your supply will stop and you’ll need to top up to continue using energy. The only exception is during weekends and bank holidays – you can find more information on these ‘friendly hours’ in this handy help article.
